Ryan Hengl is an attorney with the law firm of Walsma & Rodriguez, P.C. and has been practicing law since 2005. Ryan represents individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and business owners in matters involving estate planning, business transactions, and long-term planning strategies. He is committed to providing practical, efficient, and client-focused legal solutions tailored to each client’s individual goals and circumstances.
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2001. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska in 2005, where he also received a Certificate of Concentration in Business, Taxation and Commercial Transactions.
Since beginning his legal career in 2005, Ryan has developed a broad transactional and advisory practice with an emphasis on estate planning and business matters. His practice areas includes estate planning, including the drafting of trusts, wills, and powers of attorney; probate and trust administration; business entity formation; corporate governance; contracts; commercial transactions; real estate matters; business succession planning; federal securities law; and federal trademark practice.
In addition to his legal practice, Ryan served as an Adjunct Professor at Northern Arizona University from 2013 through 2015, where he taught First Responder Civil Liability.
Ryan is licensed to practice law in California and Texas and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Ryan has remained active in civic and community leadership throughout his career and has served in leadership positions with professional, governmental, and nonprofit organizations focused on public service, housing, and community development.
Outside of the office, Ryan is a devoted husband and father and enjoys spending time with his family and pets. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, maintaining an active lifestyle, and creating meaningful experiences with family and friends.
